Summary: Back in the day, people were ruled over by not kings or overlords, but religion. Even the mortal leaders of the many kingdoms would find themselves bound to whatever beliefs they had, and it would decide the fate of the innocent and guilty alike. But now, the dark side of religion would surface.

History: It’s the 11th century near Jerusalem, and some crusaders have found a powerful relic. That is, a piece of the cross that Jesus Christ was crucified on. Hoping to return the relic to Rome, a couple bumps in the road reveal that the forces of evil are after the relic as well, hoping to destroy it. This makes the relic cursed, and a horrible archdemon is after the crusaders now.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After much chaos involving demons and the relic going haywire, all but one of the crusaders are dead. The survivor manages to kill the demon that started this mess by shoving the cross shard into it, causing both it and the relic to explode.

Powers/Abilities: Can breathe fire and tank almost all damage.

Weakness: Holy acts/weapons, though the relic is a one-hit kill.

Scariness Factor: 3-The CGI for this Balrog-wannabe is atrocious. It's a firm reminder for budding effects artists to never try to constantly animate fire. That said, it does have a neat, is somewhat unoriginal, design, and it took a lot of death and destruction before it went down.

Trivia: -The title for this film was part of a sponsor contest held by Syfy. Makes us wonder what the other suggestions were.

-This film's working title was simply "Crusades". Perhaps there was a reason that we were asked to come up with something better.
